MEEN BioLab

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

About Us

MEEN BioLab is a shared BSL-2 facility in the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, located in JCAIN 315. The lab supports cell culture, cell imaging, in vitro flow experiments, and particle functionalization.

The BioLab is open to all TAMU users and external customers.

Access & Training

  • Completion of online biosafety training (TrainTraq)

  • In-person equipment training is required before lab access

  • Reservations required via the MEEN BioLab Booking page

    • 10×, 20×, 100× (oil) objectives

    • FITC and Cy5 fluorescence

  • Autoclave

  • Microplate reader

Restrictions

Access is limited to trained and approved users only. Additional task-specific training may be required before independent work.
